ADG are excited to announce that Mr G. Ken Holman from Crane Softwrights is coming to Melbourne and will be conducting XML-Related and e-commerce Training to co-ordinate with Tech Pubs Forum 2014.  

ADG will be hosting these four in-depth, intensive, hands-on XML classes which include: XSLT/ XPath, XSL-FO, UBL and code lists.

  • Practical Transformation Using XSLT and XPath
    (5 days) 

>Covering every element, every attribute and every function of XSLT and XPath versions 1.0 and 2.0, used in creating new transformations of existing structured information

>Covering every formatting object of XSL-FO 1.0 and 1.1; used in creating printed renditions and PDF files from XML documents

  • Practical Universal Business Language Deployment
    (1 day version) 

>For understanding the artefacts published for OASIS UBL 2.1 and practice in the application of the models and XSD schema files

  • Practical Code List Implementation (1 day)

>For business vocabularies and any vocabulary design that requires flexible implementation of code lists without changing schema files (this will be of interest to UBL users as this technique is used in the UBL committee for the definition and application of code lists)

About the Instructor:

With a wealth of knowledge to draw from, Mr. G. Ken Holman's accolades include:

*   Chief Technology Officer for Crane Softwrights Ltd; 
*   Co-editor of the UBL 2 specifications; 
*   Member of the W3C Working Group that developed XML from SGML;
*   Founding chair of the two OASIS XML and XSLT Conformance Technical Committees; 
*   Current chair of the Code List Representation Technical Committee and numerous UBL subcommittees and task groups;
*   Former international secretary and national chair of the ISO subcommittee responsible for the SGML family of standards;
*   Current chair of the Canadian committee to the ISO for e-commerce documents;
