Title: Raildex - An initiative for Railroad using the S1000D Specification

Abstract:  The Raildex initiative has been launched to standardize the exchange of maintenance documentation in the railway industry between all sectors including OEM, Integrators and Operators.  This presentation will focus on the goals of the initiative and the status of the project.

Scope of Presentation:  Specify the S1000D schemas and associated business rules to be used in Railway technical documentation industry. Key Points include Motivation for a Raildex Standard, Presentation of WG findings and Roadmap of Raildex initiative.

Biography:  Philippe Zingoni is Pre-Sales Technical Support Manager at Antea.  After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, he turned to Information Technology, working first as a Technical Consultant and Trainer before joining AFNOR, the French National Organization for Standardization, as a Standardization Engineer.  Starting work with Antea in 2002, Philippe has since held various positions within the company ranging from training to project and professional services management.

Philippe has been an active member of the French S1000D community for nearly a decade and is strongly involved in several standardization initiatives, such as the S1000D-based Raildex project and the S1000D-DITA Bridge.  His areas of expertise cover both technology and industry standards and has significantly contributed to the design of Antea's technical graphics and publishing solutions for Aerospace & Defense.
